About J. Kenyon Grier

I was born in Irugawama, Japan. My father was in the Air Force station there at the time. We left Japan before my first birthday. My next stop was Massachusetts. After that it seems we moved around the mainland every three years.

In 1965 my step dad was transferred to Oahu, Hawaii. I learned to surf, finished up two years of high school, and two years of collage. In 1977 I joined the Honolulu Fire Department. I found this to be a very rewarding career.

I moved to the Big Island in 1988 and in 1991 I joined the Hawaii County Fire Department. This gave me the opportunity to learn about the different geographical locations on the Big Island. After 23.5 combined years of firefighting I retired at the end of 2003.

I decided to pursue a career in Real Estate. I brought the dedication and hard work I learned in the fire service to my Real Estate business. I hope I will have the opportunity to put my dedication and work ethic to work for you.
